Tobias first played the drums aged 5 in a carpentry workshop above a family party. Years later, he attended Drumtech in London where he attained a First Class Bachelor of Music Degree. Since then he's been touring the world and recording with a wide variety of artists and composers.
Tobias is a dual citizen of the UK and the USA and currently resides in Berlin, meaning he's able to tour freely across Europe, the UK and the USA.
He thrives in varied stylistic environments and always looks to be outside of his comfort zone. He sings backing vocals and is very comfortable with Ableton and hybrid sample-pad drumming.
He has performed on late night shows including; Letterman, Conan, Kimmel, The Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy, Lorraine, Rachel Ray and various other morning TV shows.
He has recorded with producers such as, David Kahne (Paul McCartney, The Strokes, Stevie Nicks), Youth (Kate Bush, Primal Scream, U2), Andy Gill (Gang Of Four, RHCP, Killing Joke), Ben Hillier (Nadine Shah, Blur, The Maccabees), among others.
Tobias is a band member of both Lawns and Zeit Raum Mensch.
He currently performs as a session musician for Tricky, EERA, Tara Nome Doyle and Katie Melua x Simon Goff.
